My Favorite Song ( More Than Feeling )

More Than A Feeling
By: Boston
I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away

It's more than a feeling
(More than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play
(More than a feeling)
I begin dreaming
(More than a feeling)
'Til I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away

So many people have come and gone
Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall as I wander on
As clear as the sun in the summer sky

It's more than a feeling
(More than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play
(More than a feeling)
I begin dreaming
(More than a feeling)
'Til I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away

When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
And dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped away

It's more than a feeling
(More than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play
(More than a feeling)
I begin dreaming
(More than a feeling)
'Til I see Marianne walk away

Why I like this song
The reason I like this song is because of it's rythem and the way it sounds. I like how they put the words togather and makes it sound very good. All and all it is a very good song.

30 days ( Jail )

On this episode of 30 days, Morgan was put in a prison for 30 days. In his expereince in jail, he was treated like any other prisoner, such as having eat the food all the other prisoners ate. Also having to take shower in the middle of the other, and even having to going to the bathroom where he slept next to. He also experience included in having to have 47 hours in solitary confindment. Which just souned like torture, by having no contact with any living thing except himself. But when he was put in to the rehabilitation section of the prison he seemed to enjoy it. First was because the fact he was able to go outside and breath fresh air, also he was surrounded by many much happier people. One thing that I learned about his experieince is that I never want to go there and that it really seems toturous.

The music of South Africa

I found that their music to very alive and exciting at times, but depending what was going on at that moment it could be depressing. But most of them i seemed to like. Because i found it a great sense of culture and them voicing their oppinion, it just sometimes inspired you.

Final reflection of the South African struggle of apartheid at the end

My final reflection of apartheid is that how terriable it must have been to be a South African during the time of struggle with apartheid. Because when the South Africans protested either violently or non-violently, they would be either thrown in to jail or beaten badley. It became so bad that if they even song they would be punished for it. How great it must of felt when they freed mandela from prison and made him president who destroyed the thing the South Africans hated the most, apartheid.

South Africa 2

What was apartheid like in South Africa?
Many things were changed in South Africa like the fact of that marriage between non-whites and whites were not permitted to be married or have children. The Bantu Authorities Act established in 1951 was a basis for ethnic government in African reserves, known as ``homelands.''These homelands were independent states to which each African was assigned by the government according to the record of origin. That is how Apartheid is was in south Africa.
When did apartheid end?
In February 1990
How did Apartheid end?
When they released Nelson Mandela from prison in February of 1990 and let the Africans vote for the first time and elected Mandela as president, this caused Apartheid to fall.
What does Amandla mean? and how does it apply to apartheid?
Amandla means power. What this has to do with apartheid is that when the Africans were screaming this during the struggle of apartheid is how that they had power and were not going to treated that way.
Who is Vuyisile Mini and what was he famous for? Vuyisile Mini was a muscision and he was famous for creating many songs that were anti-apartheid and was eventually was hanged for doing nothing except singing about what he thought was wrong .

South Africa and more

1.APARTHEID :An official policy of racial segregation formerly practiced in the Republic of South Africa, involving political, legal, and economic discrimination against nonwhites.
2. SOUTH AFRICA: South Africa is the most southern tip of Africa with a 2,798 kilometres (1,739 mi) coastline. South Africa is recongnized by its diversity of language and culture. About 79.5% of the South African population is of black african ancestory, divided among a variety of ethnic groups speaking different Bantu languages, nine of which have official status. A day most of the population is making a little more $1.25 US dollars a day. which not enough for huge families in Africa.
3.Nelson Mandela: He was the president of south Africa from 1994 to 1999. Before his presidency he was imprisoned on robben island for 27 years for being an anti-apartheid man.
